Ucom
Stock performance
History
Ucom started as an Armenian fixed-line internet and TV provider and became a full mobile operator in 2015 by acquiring Orange Armenia from France's Orange group. It has since grown into one of the country's three mobile operators and its leading fixed broadband provider.
Business model
Ucom offers mobile, fixed broadband, fiber internet, pay-TV, and business services, bundling them into packages for households and companies.
Market position
Ucom is one of Armenia's three telecom operators, alongside Viva (formerly VivaCell-MTS) and Team Telecom Armenia (formerly Beeline), and is notable for being Armenian-owned in a sector previously dominated by foreign groups.
Country impact
Ucom's fiber and mobile networks underpin Armenia's growing IT and tech-services sector, which became one of the economy's fastest-growing industries, especially after the 2022 influx of relocated tech workers.
