History

Business model
Banks DIH brews Banks Beer, produces rum, soft drinks, and water, runs bakeries and quick-service restaurants, and has interests in distribution and financial services, including a stake in Citizens Bank Guyana.
Market position
Banks DIH is one of the largest locally owned companies in Guyana and the leading brewer in the country.
Country impact
As a major employer and consumer-goods supplier, Banks DIH has benefited from the surge in incomes and spending that followed the start of oil production, while facing growing competition from imported products.
